Unlike earlier versions of Field Track where there was no seed product. You can now roll your crop type, variety and dressing details into a seed product. Seed applications work with both a product and/or a crop type. All other applications are based on a product. Thus you only need to create a seed product if you wish to use stock control, however for the sake of report writing and reducing the number of display grid columns on the main screen(s) it would not harm creating seed products.
The dressing system requires you to confirm your choice to fill-in the dressing details.
If you simply want to create a "Winter Wheat" product then be sure to enter this into both the "Product" and "Crop Type" fields.
